Seeing people or objects in total harmony with their surroundings moves me enough to want to capture them in my camera.

        Hampi—Living History (NEW)
It was my first time on an art camp and I could not have chosen a better location specially with my love for history. Hampi, the site of the Vijayanagar Empire and the Monkey Kingdom of Kishkindu was simply enthralling with it’s history not only lingering but living too in some quarters.

        Kalikatha series
These photographs depict the 'Katha' (tale) of the city of old Kalikatha or today's Kolkata - the city presided over by the fearsome Goddess Kali. Here the city is presented as the years have treated its monuments and landmarks, its life and people. More information

        Hyatt series
These photographs were commissioned by the Hyatt Regency hotels in Kolkata and Mumbai. Here the prints were etched, scratched and acid washed so that the resulting image looked like a pencil sketch. I worked on images of varying subjects initially, but it was later felt that the architectural images worked best and so I worked on similar images from all over India to make the whole series.

        A Still Symphony
These photographs seek to show 'life' in the 'stills' created on the roadside through objects we see everyday. Objects simmering and pregnant with life are perfect 'still lives' to the photographer, and are found aplenty at teashops, with vendors and such. More information
